Your first three to six months at your new job can be a tough one, both nerve wracking and confusing as you get to grips with your new company.

Attend meetings on time, and ensure you are prepared and taking part where you can. If you have to be at work for 8:30, try getting there 10-15 minutes before to set yourself up for the day.

5. Be Active
Stay active and be hands-on. If you don’t feel like you are busy enough, ask if there is anything else you can do. If there is something you feel you could improve on, don’t hesitate to ask for feedback or training.

Get to know people from different areas of the organization, and look to get involved in any social activities going on internally and externally.

Dress for the role. If you’re in a corporate office and everyone else is in suits; wear your best office attire. The way you look is an important part of your new position, as is your body language and the way you conduct yourself.Remember, you only get one chance to make a good first impression, so give your new role all that you have to show that the business has made the right decisions.
Of course, you are learning new elements of the business each and every day so mistakes will be made, however it remains important to show a great attitude and willingness to be a part of the company.
